The Six-Day War ended with Israel capturing the Sinai Peninsula, the Golan Heights, the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.

                      “The Apostate Church”
Rev 3:18 “I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.”/

The Laodicean church has fabulous architecture, million-dollar buildings, depends upon human effort and strength to succeed. Compromising the Word of God by politically correct stances on sinful issues. It is part of the ecumenical movement that will morph into a false religious system ran by the false prophet of Revelation. Instead of preaching the Gospel, they have devolved into motivational speaking – making prosperity the main goal of the believer. They are lukewarm and don’t realize it. When the “people’s opinions” become more important than Christ or the Word, then the people will be judged.

REBUKE Rev 3:16-17 “So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked——“

PROMISE Rev 3:21 “To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.”

QUESTION “Am I hot for Christ or content to live in a lukewarm state?”

                                        “The Missionary Church”

PRAISE Rev 3:8 ““I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, [f]and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.”

This church keeps His Word and does not deny His name. They will be spared from the hour of trial that will come upon the earth.

The Rapture 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

PROMISE Rev 3:10 “Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.”

PROMISE Rev 3:12 “He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.”

QUESTION “Do I keep His Word, proclaim His name – walking through the open doors that have been set before me?”

                       “Seven Heads and Ten Horns”
Rev 13:1-3 “Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast.”/

The secular revolutions began with the French Revolution, which soon led to the capture and exile of the pope by General Berthier in 1798. But more significant than the military/political event of the capture and exile was the replacement of the religious-centric Justinian Code by the secular Napoleonic Code. The secular code was implemented by the famous bill number 8 of February, 1798, where General Berthier declared Rome an independent republic and “in consequence, every other temporal authority emanating from the old government of the Pope, is suppressed, and it shall no more exercise and function.”

                                              “The Reformation Church”

PRAISE Rev 3:1 ‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive…”

This church has a reputation of being alive but were actually “dead”. They sought state approval and eventually “married” the state.

Subsequently, Martin Luther led the way by nailing his 95 thesis to the church door. Rev 1:17 “The righteous will live by faith.”

The doctrine of justification by faith and scripture alone came to the fore.

REBUKE Rev 3:1-3 “…but your are dead. Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God. Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.”

The Day of the Lord 1 Thessalonians 5:2

PROMISE Rev 3:5 “He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.”

QUESTION “Does my spiritual walk have the life of Christ – The Tree of Life, or am I spiritually dead – The Tree of the knowledge of good and evil?”

                                                  “The Corrupt Church”
DARK AGES
Like Pergamum, the feet of iron and clay represent the marriage of church and state. The Holy Roman Church ruled to “1260 Days” and satan’s seat moved from Babylon to the city of Tyre and then on to a city named “Semiramis”. The city was named after the “Queen of Babylon”. Another name for her in the book of Jeremiah is the “Queen of Heaven”. The city of Semiramis was later renamed “Thyatira”- From there, the seat of satan would move to Rome – according to the gospels.

PRAISE Rev 3:18 “I know your works, love, service, faith, and your patience; and as for your works, the last are more than the first.”/

The light of the gospel of Jesus Christ grew extremely dim beginning with Boniface III. The church grew in the likeness of Babylonian Mysticism. False religion – Jezebel, was taught and seduced the church into sin. In 1190 A.D, the Holy Roman Church introduced the “Sale of Indulgences” when the church encouraged individuals to raise money – about 33% of a years’ income, and purchase a piece of paper that stated that all their sins – past, present and future, were forgiven so long as they had that note.

REBUKE Rev 2:20-23 “Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols. And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent. Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds. I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works.”

PROMISE Rev 2:24-26 “Now to you I say, and to the rest in Thyatira, as many as do not have this doctrine, who have not known the depths of Satan, as they say, I will put on you no other burden. But hold fast what you have till I come. And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations—
   ‘He shall rule them with a rod of iron;
   They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter’s vessels’—
as I also have received from My Father; and I will give him the morning star.”

QUESTION “Am I fully trusting in the finished work of Christ or am I trying to add works to earn my salvation?”

THE JUSTINIAN CODE

The Justinian Code was legally promulgated -“publicly announced”, establishing Christianity into law. According to Rome, this legally placed the pope as the formal head of Christendom, ordering all Christian groups to submit to papal authority and gave Justinian civil power of life and death over heretics.

THE BIRTH OF THE HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE / CHURCH

Constantine was so fed up with politics in the West, he moved his empire from Rome to Constantinople – the “City of Constantine”, in the East (present day Istanbul), and left the West of his empire in charge to the bishop of Rome.

The Eastern Roman emperor Justinian gave a decree acknowledging the bishop of Rome as the head of ALL churches. In the same year, the Roman church was granted political as well as ecclesiastical power. Papal Rome – the papacy, became THE power in Rome – civil, political and religious.

   Rome was methodically picked apart beteeen AD 19-467. Romulus Augustus was removed from power by the leader of the Goths in 476 AD. Leadership wavered back and forth until Constantine finally had enough and moved his capitol to what is now Istanbul in the East.

   The Heruli, Ostrogoths and Vandals spoke against the Papacy and were uprooted as a result. No modern day descendants remain.

   The Papacy is a Church AND a state – it is “diverse” showing a great deal of variety; very different. As in a “culturally diverse population”. Today, Vatican City is the ONLY “kingdom” city and is unlike any other kingdom in history.

7. Will persecute and make war with God’s people
   This little horn has shed more blood than any entity on earth. During the inquisition, millons of christians were killed by the Papacy during a period called the “Dark Ages”. According to the Papacy, the bible – God’s Word, was illegal and to be found with it was punishable by torture and then death.

8. Will think to change prophecy and the laws of God:
   
   
   • “Historical View” of Prophecy fulfilled is proof of God, to counter the historist – or “actual”, view of history.
   • “Futurist View” of Prophecy – Jesuit Priest Francisco Ribera hired by the Papacy: More of publicity relations attempt to claim that the Antichrist is a man from the Middle East, false doctrine to mislead
   • “Priestly (pretorist) View” of Prophecy – Jesuit Priest Luis De Alcazar hired by Papacy to claim that the Antichrist was way in the past – Nero. But Nero does not fulfill all that was prophesied by God. Nero was a “type” of Antichrist – like Hitler. Antichrist will “THINK” to change God’s times and laws but can’t actually do so. Holy Roman church has sought to change God’s laws by changing the sabbath from the 7th day of the week to the 1st day. (see Sunday “Blue” laws and papal stance on day of worship)

9. Will rule for 1260 Years
   
   In 1798, Napolean Bonaparte – at the behest of the French Directory, grew weary of taking orders from the Papacy. He sent General Berthier to arrest the Pope and claim Rome. The Papal power was taken away but it’s “wound” would heal and rise again.

                                                 “The Married Church”

PRAISE Rev 2:13 “I know your works, and where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is. And you hold fast to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days in which Antipas was My faithful martyr, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells.”

In spite of Satan’s attempts to delude the elect, there are those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ. Persecut-ing the church would not destroy it, so Satan “elevated” and “married” the church to the government under constantine. Thus, it became known as the “Church of Compromise”. Many people came to the church without being born again – accepting Jesus Christ through faith. Pagan practices became mixed with Christianity

The Potter and the Clay – Jeremiah 18:1-6

The worship of saints and angels was introduced in 375 A.D. – leading people to fall into idolatry. “Last Rites” were introduced in 526 A.D. which led people to believe in false hope. Such rites do not require faith or repentance and cannot save anyone. Purgatory was introduced in 583 A.D. allowing people to believe that they could continue in sin – including sexual immorality, and they would eventually make it into heaven after suffering “sufficiemtly”. This practice wrongfully assumes that Christ suffering on the cross was some how insufficient.


REBUKE Rev 2:14-16 “But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality. Thus you also have those who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate. Repent, or else I will come to you quickly and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth.”


PROMISE Rev 2:17 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it.”

QUESTION “Am I willing to suffer for Christ – avoiding marriage to the world, to live free from idolatry and sexual immorality?”

                                                “The Persecuted Church”

PRAISE Rev 2:9 “I know your works, tribulation, and poverty – but you are rich!; and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.”

Myrrh – though bitter, was often used in burial to cover up the smell od death. Though their existance was bitter, Jesus knew their works and counted them rich – to “afford Myrrh”, and assured them that they do not have the stench of death upon them.

PROMISE Rev 2:10 “Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.”

PROMISE Rev 2:11 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death.” (…eternal separation from God)

QUESTION “Am I fully devoted – even to death, for what I believe?”

Before Jesus was crucified, he prophesied that the temple – in spite of all it’s elegance, would be destroyed:

‘As Jesus was leaving the temple, one of his disciples said to him, “Look, Teacher! What massive stones! What magnificent buildings!” Jesus Replied, “Do you see all these great buildings? Not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.”’ – Mark 13:1-2

While no one knows the exact date, scholars place Jesus’ baptism by John at about 29 A.D.:

“And Jesus himself was beginning to be about thirty years of age, being, as was supposed, son of Joseph,” – Luke 3:23

About How Old was Jesus When he Began his Ministry?

QUESTION “Am I fully devoted – even to death, for what I believe?”

In fact, there is no year zero. The event refered to here is the “estimated” birth year of Christ. When reviewing history, the time between -1 BC and 1 AD is zero – not 1 year or 2 years. So when calculating time from Before Christ (BC) and Anno Domini (AD – “in the year of our Lord”), we do not add anything. Hence, the end of -1 BC brings about the beginning of 1 AD without any lapse in time. There are those who summize that Jesus must have been 31 years old when baptized. But the scripture remains in tact if indeed Jesus was “about” 30 years old according to John because he could have easily been about 30 and had not had his 31st birthday yet. Not that they are against it, it has been noted that the Jews celebrate a person’s life at death, but not necessarily the day of their birth – with the exception of special birthdays such as weaning or bar mitzvah.

While no one knows the exact date, Missler presents a compelling arguement for Jesus’ birth date – based on scripture as well as historical documents, sometime in Autumn of 2 B.C. – possibly even September 29th, 2 BC (which happens to land on the Feast of Trumpets for that year!):
